AARP Postcard Parties: Pizza & Postcards

In an effort to work on behalf of future retirees, AARP has organized “Postcard Parties: Pizza & Postcards”. These are Pizza Parties with attendees writing postcards to Social Security Administration urging the Administration to update for the 21st Century.
Florida boasts the nation’s highest percentage of residents age 65-plus and with more than 4.2 million Floridians receiving Social Security benefits, there’s cause for concern regarding the future of the program. Without these benefits, 46 percent of the state’s 65-plus population would have incomes below the poverty line.
